Spottet in New Girl (S01E16) Jess brings lots of typewriters into the loft. On the lower picture, the left one is a Smith-Corona in a Super 5 Body style, probably a Smith-Corona Sterling. I suggest, the right one is a Royal Aristocrat. I can’t identify the one on the upper picture.

Spotted in The Rum Diary (2011) Paul Kemp types on a portable. I think it’s a Royal, but I can’t tell the model. Robert from ozTypewriter thinks it’s a Nakajima:

I haven’t seen the movie yet, but stills from it clearly show the typewriter being used by Depp as Thompson-Kemp is a Nakajima. The film is apparently set in Puerto Rico in the 1950s, long before Nakajima typewriters were first made. Whether Thompson would have found one in the US, or Puerto Rico, even when they were made, is questionable. 

Spotted in The Help (2011). Skeeter Phelan uses a Royal Futura 800.

And another one! A 1941 Royal Quite Deluxe Portable Typewriter.

Patti Smith at her College typing on a Royal in 1977. There are at least three more typewriters in this room. Can’t identify them.

Spotted in Captain America: The First Avenger (2011). There are several typewriters used in this movie. The upper one is a Royal Model 10-KH. Can’t identify the lower one.

Spotted in Atonement (2007). Briony Tallis uses a Corona, don’t know the exact model. Robbie Turner writes his letters on a Royal. I think it is a Royal Model S. Correct me, if I’m wrong.
